Connecticut dental billing has a few rules of its own. HUSKY Health dental benefits run through BeneCare and the Connecticut Dental Health Partnership, dentists re-enroll with the state program more often than other clinicians, and PPO networks each bring their own fee schedules and attachment rules. Maximum Billing provides dental billing services for Connecticut practices, covering verification, CDT coding, claims, payment posting, appeals, and follow-up from inside your own software.

HUSKY Health Dental and BeneCare
Connecticut Medicaid, branded HUSKY Health, is administered by the Department of Social Services. Dental benefits are managed by the Connecticut Dental Health Partnership through BeneCare, but dentists still enroll with the state through the Enrollment Wizard on ctdssmap.com. Because HUSKY Health uses administrative services organizations instead of competing managed care plans, a correct state enrollment is what puts a dentist in the network. Dentists are not subject to the application fee. Our Connecticut Medicaid provider enrollment guide explains the Wizard.
Dentists Re-enroll Every 24 Months
Under the April 2026 DSS Enrollment Criteria Matrix, dentists re-enroll in HUSKY Health every 24 months, compared with 60 months for physicians and behavioral health clinicians. DSS sends a notice about six months ahead. For a dental office, that means a re-enrollment comes around every two years, and a lapse interrupts HUSKY Health payments. We track it next to your PPO re-credentialing dates. See our dental credentialing services and Connecticut credentialing services.
Revenue Leaks We Look For in Connecticut Practices
- Benefits checks that confirm coverage but miss frequency and maximum limits.
- PPO write-offs that do not match the contracted fee schedule.
- Crown, buildup, and scaling claims missing images or charting.
- Alternate benefit downgrades accepted without review.
- Unbilled secondary coverage.
- Unpaid claims with no one assigned to follow up.
